IT’S JOURNAL THING!!!

People belonging to ‘art world’ like doodlers, designers, artists, etc. have their own dimensions yet have so many similarities. These people have the abilities to mold themselves in any situation and they can express it in a tangible form. Creating a journal for everything makes them a ‘tourist’ as they create reminiscences and then note them as memories. These memories always have some thought and a spirit to get remembered. For a designer, journals are their printed sheets and their eyes are their cameras with their minds as the printers.

journal2 A to-do list is always there to get filled. To make reports, create forecasts, designs, a collection, a doodle art, a landscape or portrait art, a journal is always present there to join all the points with each other and then come up with something new and original. This originality defines an individual’s thoughts and his work. A self-made, self-believed thing has got a more powerful spirit than the captured and printed one. The cycle always runs alike, somewhere somehow it is not highlighted much to create a journal in the fashion industry but you need to collect all of it what you have got because that’s how successful ones have worked.

It could be anything as it’s said it is a Journal thing! To match all the points, link them and create something different from everything is the daily task for every creative person out here. People are journalizing everywhere every second to create a trend report for others.

That is why it is all observed and processed every time to run the fashion world because it can trickle up or trickle down the story anytime.

For a designer, it’s a die-hard thing not maintaining a journal and to gather all research creatively in just one scarp book. Every scrap out there has some emotion, research, thought, idea and knowledge with a beautiful story behind it and only a journal can spell it out loud.

ONLY A SHOPAHOLIC CAN UNDERSTAND!!!

We ladies can never get tired of shopping! It’s so ironical that one moment we think about not spending a penny and very next moment we realize that we do not have money even for a cab. We face such stories in our lives everyday which is hilariously ironical in it’s own.

When we realize that the season is about to change, we feel a different kind of excitement to spend. We, shopaholics start doing our routine scroll on every shopping website and page to make a list in our mind, start taking screenshots to save them until we spend on them, we plan every gift for every occasion in advance and what not.

The time from Christmas week till the whole New Year’s month can never be ignored. This time of the year brings a very enthusiastic spirit in the whole environment around us. It’s the time to ‘SHOP’ and just shop, unconditionally and unpredictably.

Being a shopaholic, the need never matters. The one thing that matters is what we like. We’re always like ‘oh! that is so good, I want that because I don’t have that’. This happens even if we want the same product but in different colors. Once a shopaholic likes something, it’s going to be in their wardrobe on the other day itself.

Talking about the shopaholics how can we forget the Deals? If you provide the deals, shopaholics are going to buy almost whole of it for sure as you can see. Many brands provide deals in different aspects and different ways and then the mind game starts to grab the best one. Our mind processes 24/7 because of that in various aspects like:

-will it look good on me?
-is it worth it?
-should I buy this instead of that?
-in how many ways I can use it?
-do I have one already similar to it?
-is it in trend?
-why should I take it from here if the other platform has the better deal?
-Can reuse it through DIY ideas?
-and more…

THERE CAN’T BE A DESIGN WITHOUT INSPIRATION!!!

Everything has it’s backbone! It’s the soul that we’re talking about, and it could be inspired with a thought, an idea or a phrase but a reason for sure. Similar is the case with this outfit ‘the AK OK everything’ designed by Anamika Khanna, a well known designer who got inspired from her hard times when she acted like a lioness. Her cubs, Vishesh and Viraj, gave her the spirit to fight for it.

The designer’s inspiration ‘AK OK Everything’ is a common slang of America and is termed as ‘A-Ok’.

Every time your inspiration creates a zeitgeist in your head that you think to create something out of it to spill it out in a tangible form.

The contemporary lehenga is designed with the thought of being classy yet casual. Color called ‘Cassia’ from the forecast of 2019 created a buzz out there for others with its bold look. Her dupatta complemented the gathered details on the sleeves of her pink blouse. Sonam Kapoor got a tag on her waistband of her name out there which represents the contemporary look again. Moreover, the turquoise black metal jewelry just increased the look of all of it ethnically so well.

Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea Kapoor also got collaborated in this assignment and styled her at her best to slay the garment, and Sonam is best at doing the same.

It is always said that you don’t need to wander if you know what you want to do. Similarly, if you are able to get an inspiration the design will surely slay in front of the people. Everything has to be linked to each other.

The lehenga was for the marriage of ‘Isha and Anand’. Sonam Kapoor’s instagram post also appreciated the whole concept and the idea behind all of it. The inspirational story was very emotional and empowering as well which is depicted by the boldness of the garment. In design it’s always about a well known thought behind all of the successful story and Anamika Khanna proved the myth wrong that lehengas cannot slay that much by being without heavy work in the marriage!

SUSTAINABILITY THIS TIME

The fashion industry today is a multi billion dollar business which is affecting everyone around the world in some way!

Fashion is the second most polluting industry in the world, following right after oil. Due to speedy production and over consumption, the fashion industry has landed itself on an environmentally damaging path, much different than 100 years ago. It was not until fast fashion took over our closets, that the real numbers started to show. In today’s world sustainability is a very important factor to focus on as the fashion industry is growing day by day.

Many organizations are working in the favor to promote sustainability. One such great example is PETA! PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: in laboratories, in the food industry, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry. We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of rodents, birds, and other animals who are often considered “pests” as well as cruelty to domesticated animals.

Every year, millions of animals are killed for the clothing industry—all in the name of fashion. Whether the clothes come from Chinese fur farms, Indian slaughterhouses, or the Australian outback, an immeasurable amount of suffering goes into every fur-trimmed jacket, leather belt, and wool sweater.

This tells clearly that we are heading to wear the living ones after killing them, just to wear! No one will get agree that we all are involved in killings just to look nice and different.

In the year 2018, people took a step towards getting vegan moreover to promote and get awareness of sustainability. Organizations like Arture, which is vegan fashion accessories brand, are in the running to make this world sustainable by using materials like 100 per cent Mediterranean-derived natural cork fabric, which is sustainable and cruelty-free, to design sleek wallets, handbags and travel accessories for women and men.

It’s very harsh to listen and see that just to look good, people do killings; to obtain materials in this fashion industry, they do not care of lives. But on the other side it’s true that people are working over it as well. We should keep in mind the following things at the time of starting over a garment-

Think of organic fabrics
Ignore fabrics like fur, pure wool and more
Try to design the garments which do not include animal skins
Think and look twice for the fabrics and it’s blends

3 Challenges Every Entrepreneur Must Overcome

No matter the industry, these universal roadblocks require business owners to balance immediate needs with longer-range strategies.

In this entrepreneurial world people are running crazily for their start ups and because of this race, they have not considered the key points to survive. This race is a never ending one and always gets longer and difficult. We face challenges every second in our lives, some of which gets resolved and some we just let go off. But, is it the right thing to drop the challenge when you think you’ll face a lot of difficulties to complete it? Doing this is nothing but loosing entrepreneurial identity.

This means that we are somewhere getting unfocused and demoralized, in fact not facing the reality of being motivated.

Let’s focus on the three challenges that every entrepreneur must overcome-

1. Avoiding burnout.

The passion that often makes entrepreneurs successful is their downfall. Many of us devote time, money, passion and energy to our ventures. We run the risk of being consumed if we stay plugged in all the time. We need time to disconnect and get some peace to motivate ourselves and to regain the ability to think politely and not in the chaos. Many entrepreneurs employ the 80/20 rule while on vacation, i.e, 80 percent of time is dedicated to relaxation, and 20 percent is spent on work.

No matter which solution you choose, it’s essential to carve out time to relax, truly recharge your batteries and maintain a healthy mindset. If you don’t take care of your mental health, your business ultimately will suffer.

2. Tracking cash flow.

Cash flow is the lifeblood of any small business. In fact, poor cash-flow management is one of the main reasons businesses fail. Tracking cash inflows and outflows may not be the easiest or most glamorous part of running a small business, but it does separate a good entrepreneur from a great one.

Cash flow, profit, money, goodwill, business and more, these terms always get into our minds just to remind us that we have to be serious and earn money in a better way. Despite this fact, our mind ignores the real phase that it’s not about being serious it’s about being dedicated yet motivated to run the business successfully.

3. Raising capital.

At pivotal moments in your business’ lifespan, you’ll need to raise funds so you can innovate and grow. While many people consider only the traditional bank-loan route, the modern entrepreneurial landscape offers alternative funding streams. You could consider equity or rewards, crowd sourcing options, incubators, loans or grants, angel investors or investment companies.

Not every option will be right for your business, so it pays to do some research to find out which is the best fit.

It’s easy to run the business, raise a business but to raise funds it’s also something where the actual challenge lies in this world. Your goodwill will be your final aspect which will decide you future of the business.

We will face such challenges every now an then but again, we have breathe, think, understand and listen to ourselves to solve it as every hurdle in this era so that it will take you higher and higher after jumping over it and not falling down.
