Everything has it’s backbone! It’s the soul that we’re talking about, and it could be inspired with a thought, an idea or a phrase but a reason for sure. Similar is the case with this outfit ‘the AK OK everything’ designed by Anamika Khanna, a well known designer who got inspired from her hard times when she acted like a lioness. Her cubs, Vishesh and Viraj, gave her the spirit to fight for it.
The designer’s inspiration ‘AK OK Everything’ is a common slang of America and is termed as ‘A-Ok’.
Every time your inspiration creates a zeitgeist in your head that you think to create something out of it to spill it out in a tangible form.
The contemporary lehenga is designed with the thought of being classy yet casual. Color called ‘Cassia’ from the forecast of 2019 created a buzz out there for others with its bold look. Her dupatta complemented the gathered details on the sleeves of her pink blouse. Sonam Kapoor got a tag on her waistband of her name out there which represents the contemporary look again. Moreover, the turquoise black metal jewelry just increased the look of all of it ethnically so well.
Sonam Kapoor’s sister Rhea Kapoor also got collaborated in this assignment and styled her at her best to slay the garment, and Sonam is best at doing the same.
It is always said that you don’t need to wander if you know what you want to do. Similarly, if you are able to get an inspiration the design will surely slay in front of the people. Everything has to be linked to each other.
The lehenga was for the marriage of ‘Isha and Anand’. Sonam Kapoor’s instagram post also appreciated the whole concept and the idea behind all of it. The inspirational story was very emotional and empowering as well which is depicted by the boldness of the garment. In design it’s always about a well known thought behind all of the successful story and Anamika Khanna proved the myth wrong that lehengas cannot slay that much by being without heavy work in the marriage!
